There is a tremendous amount of heightened sensitivity that accompanies this full moon. Straddling the empathetic and helpful signs of Pisces and Virgo, we are acutely aware of our own needs as well as the needs of others. Any new or full moon that falls at one of the critical degrees (29 degree or 0 degrees) carries extra weight. This full moon falls at 0 degrees drawing our attention to the pure essence of each of these signs.
This is especially helpful if we have been over-associating with the Pisces end of this polarity. We may very well be pulled in that direction given that the ruler of the full moon, rational Mercury, is out of his element, floating through ethereal Pisces and in close conjunction with Pisces ruler, nebulous Neptune.
So accessing the patient, practical wisdom of Virgo may be a challenge for us. But it’s this medicine that will help us make sense of all of the changes that are happening on our lives now. Rather than remain caught in the big picture and grand vision, important as they are, we are tasking with coming back to the basics. What patterns or habits in our lives are supporting us? Which are deflating us and causing energy leaks? Where can we make small but significant tweaks and improvements that will pay off in the long term.
Coupling these pragmatic adjustments with our wild dreams, and grand visions, will help us get closer to where we want to be. It is in fact, as this full moon reminds us, the only way to get closer to where we want to be.
Venus echoes this sentiment clearly as well, since she is positioned in pragmatic Capricorn in between shrewd Saturn and unyielding Pluto. There is no sense in deceiving ourselves now, since it will only deflect the consequences we feel down the line. It’s best to use the keen attunement to your feelings that the sun, Mercury and Neptune in Pisces are providing, to sense your inner fears, worry, distractions and self-sabotage, rather than get swept away by the usual usual surge of fantasy and addictions that can accompany this type of transit.
