This new moon in excited and extroverted Gemini features Jupiter prominently. The gas giant of our solar systems is known as the Greater Benefic in classical astrology because it blesses all that it touches. So one could say this is a blessed new moon indeed. Jupiter is, however, also known to blow things out of proportion. Whatever is going on in your life this month it could all end up feeling like too-much too-fast, no matter how ready you thought you were.
The sun and moon unite at 12 degrees of Gemini and oppose Jupiter at 20 degrees of Sagittarius. Jupiter will thus feature prominently in the upcoming Sagittarius full moon as well. And Mercury, ruler of mentally-oriented Gemini, is also in its home sign and opposing Jupiter from 27 degrees Gemini. The cosmic invitation is to think big, to act big, and to speak, clearly and loudly. If you can get your point across you can make a big impression. But the challenge will be staying focused and not scattering your energy. The Gemini/Sagittarius planets form a square to nebulous Neptune in Pisces. If your dreams are not grounded in practical action, or you keep deferring them until tomorrow, you may not be able to take advantage of this cosmic cheerleading squad.
But if you are ready to act on your true values, then you will have lots of support, thanks to abundant and resourceful Venus in Taurus making a powerful trine to Saturn and Pluto, still holding court in late Capricorn. As Mars in Cancer inches ever closer to the North Node, we are all being invited towards owning and naming our truth, and releasing the past, it’s just a matter of consistency and follow-through.
